After a long stretch of sunny afternoon weddings, it is so fun to see a couple say “I Do” with a wintery Christmas background. Adam & Leah’s deep plum accents against a pallet of glistening snow was just breathtaking. But some of my favorite images are these timeless black & whites. Hope you enjoy!

Christmas is just one of the most magical times of the year, but throw in some adorable kids for Christmas portraits and I’m done. Life gets no better than this. I love photographing little ones at Christmas time. It’s like they just know how special the season is. That little twinkle in their eye just gets brighter in December.

Kathryn & Matt say “I Do!”

I love finding new places to photograph and we struck gold at Kathryn & Matt’s wedding. The Carnegie Library of Homestead must be as old as Pittsburgh itself, but what a fantastic place to photograph! The deep, dark wood grains accented by the warm glow from ornate lamps created a cozy and yet classic feel. The exterior, bold and dignified. The facade stands strong, almost like a castle, right in the small town of Homestead. It is definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in the area.

Congratulations to such a great couple!

Rainy Day Weddings

As much as I would like for every Saturday to be beautiful and temperate with a warm, glowing sun, it’s just not going to happen that way. But when a rainy Saturday strikes right on your wedding date, after 3 years of planning, what can one really do. This is just the way Tiffany and Mike looked at the situation. So it was cold and rainy…big deal…they were getting married! That was completely their attitude and I must say what a relief it was to have such understanding, go-with-the-flow folks to photograph. All this couple wanted was to become husband and wife and what a pleasure it was to witness them take their vows. Despite the weather we still got some great shots, indoors and out!

Andy and I made it back to Cincinnati on Tuesday and we just got internet this morning, so I am sorry for the delayed response. WE LOVE THE PHOTOS!! We are thrilled with how they turned out already, and we cannot wait to see them when they are all finished! Both of our parents loved them as well :)

Liz & Paul Are Married!

Well, we’re off to a great start. April 30th, kicked off our wedding season and we couldn’t be more excited.
Paul and Liz could define the phrase “Cute Couple”. They just seemed so completely in love with each other. They had such a high energy, feel good, way about them and it was a pleasure photographing them!
